The main visitor route takes you from the main entrance gate through the field of pilgrims to the interior of the pilgrimage church.

As part of the tour, you will learn not only about the legend of St John of Nepomuk, but also how and why it inspired the local abbot Václav Vejmluva to build a pilgrimage site and why he assigned this task to the architect Jan Blažej Santini. During the tour, you can also look forward to discovering the extensive symbolism hidden throughout the church.

  • The tour starts every hour.
  • The first tour usually leaves at 9:00 AM, the last at 4:00 PM, except every Saturday, when the last tour is at 3:00 PM.
  • The tour lasts 45 minutes.
  • In April and October, the tour is open on weekends and holidays.
  • From May to September, you can visit us every day.
  • From November to March, you can participate in the winter version of the tour that lasts 30 minutes and takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
  • For groups of more than 10 people, it is possible to arrange a guided tour in English or German.
