Catholic Parish of Zdar nad Sazavou II

The Pilgrim Church of St John of Nepomuk belongs to the Roman Catholic Parish Zdar nad Sazavou II – Klaster with the seat at the site of Chateau of Kinsky family, former Cistercian monastery. There you can find the parish office and the parish church – Basilica of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and St Nicolas.

The Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and St Nicolas in Zdar nad Sazavou was honoured with the title of basilica minor by the decree of Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments on 5 January 2009. The ceremony presided by the Brno bishop Vojtech Cikrle took place on 15 August 2009, on the feast day of the Assumption of Virgin Mary.
